(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Christmas Catalogs

Perusing the Christmas toy catalogs

The Christmas toy catalogs have arrived. Or as I like to think of them, the little boys’ version of the Victoria’s Secret catalog, Brookstone, and Sports Illustrated all rolled into one.

(If you’re wondering why my older son has horns, he’s wearing a Batman mask. Because, well, why wouldn’t you?)

I was just about to put mine in the recycle bin until I thought about the 10 minutes of peace they bought me last night. I kept them.

Beware of the FAO catalog. My daughter would now like a $750 ride-able stuffed zebra.

Yikes!! Maybe you can find her an inflatable zebra pool float…?

At our house, it’s the Lego catalog. One of my favorite pictures of my son and my father (who passed away in May) is of the two of them comparing Lego catalogs and marking my son’s wish list. We have even picked up catalogs for my son’s friends because they all like to look through them over and over and over and over. Your comparison to VS or Brookstone is perfect!
