I did not grow up going to the mall to visit Santa. Truth be told, I find the concept a little creepy. A stranger… a fake beard… my kids sitting on his lap… HOW is this a good idea?! But I can’t deny that photos of kids with Santa are adorable, or at least hilarious. Come on, the kid screaming or looking terrified while Santa tries to act jolly and play along? Priceless! I never took my kids to sit on Santa’s lap – they were terrified and NOT amused by the idea. But interestingly, I see now that THEY (my now adult children) are taking THEIR little ones to Santa’s lap – and guess what? My grandkiddies (4,4, 3, 3, 2, 1 in age) are NOT amused either. Therefore, I am the kinder parent. :+)
