Guess what? I watched the whole Super Bowl this year. I KNOW. I don’t get it, either. You know how I feel about football. I guess I was procrastinating folding laundry, or else I was enjoying my kids’ reaction to the commercials so much. This was by far their favorite:
They liked this one, too, especially the second part:
And this Coke commercial stopped them in their tracks when they heard the kids singing. (Did you know it was controversial? I didn’t. And so was this Cheerios commercial. Get a grip, people. It’s 2014.)
I thought they would like this one, but they said the people with animal heads were “creepy.” There you go, our own little focus group! What were your faves?

I missed the Doritos commercial and had to look it up on YouTube when I heard everyone talking about it. I do think that was one of the best I’ve seen. I also liked Ellen, probably one of my faves, but the costumes were a little on the creepy side. I heard that the Coke commercial was controversial, and I just saw it on your blog, and really, I’m over it. I’m over all the “controversy”. People are mad about everything, I’m going to go live in my happy bubble. 🙂
And the pistachio commercial was really awesome! Poor pistachio didn’t go viral and has poor branding. I like the moral of the story though, the Pistachio speaks for itself, don’t you think?
I hear you! People will get up in arms about anything. As much as I love social media, it only facilitates the issue, I have noticed.
Proof that advertising works: Riley asked to try “one of those green nuts we saw on TV.” He liked it!
