It’s Come to This

by Abby on March 5, 2015

Monday: school closed due to icy conditions.

Tuesday: school closed 2 hours early due to weather.

Wednesday: rain all day, turns to snow overnight.

Thursday: This.

more snow

schools closed

Friday: Will our children ever attend a full day of school again? Ever??

And so it’s come to this:

I make them run like hamsters on a wheel to earn screen time. And then we pray and pray and pray for spring.

I feel your pain. We make them exercise on the Wii to get their boy energy out on these snow days. We’ve missed 8 days of school in the last three weeks! Not Boston, but still giving us all cabin fever.

WOW! I can’t believe how bad the winter has been for the Northeast and Midwest this year. It’s been pretty wacky here in Charleston SC this year as well, but, nothing like you guys have been getting. Hang in there and before you know it, it will be Summer and the boys will be driving you crazy thinking of things to do when it’s 102 outside.

We have been couch potatoes! Trapped indoors. It’s 11 degrees today. Luckily my son’s private school has only been closed one day or I would’ve truly gone insane. Bless you!!!

That’s a great idea! I should make my boys do that, too. We have only missed two days of school this year. We have had two very dry winters, which is not necessarily a good thing for the farmers and the plants. I think spring is right around the corner. Hang in there!!
