Hi, folks. My Monday post has been delayed due to a violent storm called a “derecho” that struck our area late Friday night. We are one of the lucky few who have power and no tree through our roof or windshield. I consider that a win. However, we have no internet, which is why I’m posting this from a packed Panera, where the urban masses have huddled with their laptops for wi-fi, AC, and caffeine.
In a convenient twist of good timing, I have a guest post today on The Writer Revived blog. It’s about the night I found myself drinking wine alone in my car.* Please pop over and give it a read: “Keeping it Real, in Parenting and in Writing.” Thanks for bearing with me, and I hope you’re all safe and sound where you are.
*Which I may be doing again tonight.
P.S. Were the Mayans right about this end-of-the-world-in-2012 thing? It’s kinda feeling like it…

Hope you have power. We got ours back Tuesday night.
