When I was pregnant with my first baby, a mom friend of mine came by with several boxes of baby clothes. “You may not want any of this stuff…” she said, almost apologetically. Are you kidding me?! Adorable, barely worn Gymboree and Baby Gap outfits? Snowsuits and sun hats? Extra blankets and crib sheets? Bring ’em on!
Believe me, I used to scoff at second-hand stuff, but that was before I had 2 children who’d go through truckloads of diapers and clean laundry in a week. Now, sadly, we don’t get offered as many hand-me-downs, but I do frequent consignment shops. When your child’s into, say, Bob the Builder for a 6-month span, $4 T-shirts are the way to go.

Our hand-me-downs come from a friend named Micah, so we call it “The Micah Collection.” Love ’em!
